You will need to reverse diet if the calculator number is >300 calories more than what you are currently eating. How does this number compare to your current calorie intake? This will help you establish if you need to cut back on "extra junk calories" or if you need to "reverse diet". I recommend you calculate your TDEE on my calculator. And don't combine the two either! I advocate intermittent fasting combined with calorie adequacy and strength training: this approach is a sustainable fat loss solution. TDEE is BMR plus all the energy you spend on various physical activities, including your training sessions. An approximate formula for BMR is (in calories): 1 x your weight (kg) x 24 hours for men, and 0.9 x your weight (kg) x 24 hours for women. You can then keep track of your macro intakes in grams. It will break down your macro requirements into fat, protein, and carbohydrate proportions and their amounts. Don't confuse intermittent fasting with energy restriction. The macro calculator uses a formula to calculate this value. Macro Calculator This calculator will find your macronutrient (macro) requirements based on your daily caloric needs and type of diet. It's a misconception that intermittent fasting means you are starving yourself. In fact, I don't recommend dieting at all! I'm not a fan of alternate-day fasting or fasting regimens that slash your calories (a.k.a intermittent energy restriction diets) nevertheless, you will see those options on my calculator because it's the ultimate intermittent fasting calculator. I don't recommend daily calorie restriction. The calorie calculator merely provides an educated guess, a starting point.
